This project provided the opportunity to create a contemporary multi-generational home, designed for three generations of the one family, with a love for entertaining. Nestled within a bushy outer Melbourne site, AG House sets new standards for Templestowe architecture. A central communal entertaining space is flanked by two independent living wings: one for the family and one for their grandmother. Each wing responds to both the site topography and the individual wants and needs of its inhabitants. Designed to provide a place for every kind of family interaction, from exuberant get-togethers by the pool, to individual study nooks for quiet contemplation, the A-G House sets a new benchmark in contemporary residential architecture.
