Inside AURA, wellness is not an amenity, but an entire framework guided by Japanese principles of calm, clarity and simplicity.

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which the Dacre Building stands. We recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture.

Located within the evolving Melbourne Square precinct, AURA rises 67 storeys and includes 673 residences, conceived as a vertical sanctuary where architecture, landscape and interiors work in harmony to create a heightened sense of calm and connection.

DKO was engaged to deliver the interior design across all private residences and shared amenity spaces, shaping a cohesive living experience grounded in clarity, materiality and wellbeing.

Our interior design approach drew on the precision of Japanese design and the richness of the Australian landscape, interiors defined by natural textures, layered spaces and timelessness. Autumn and spring served as a focal point in colour and materiality, ensuring spaces were rich yet carefully restrained.

“Nature moves in cycles, and so does the way we inhabit space. Drawing on the quiet precision of Japanese design and the raw, untamed elegance of the Australian landscape, the interiors of this development are conceived as a meditation on time itself."

From Japanese-inspired gardens and a tea house pavilion on Level 7, to the immersive Aura Club with its pool, spa, sauna, yoga and reformer pilates spaces, every element is designed to support daily rituals of restoration. On the uppermost levels 66 and 67, the Cumulus Club will house a private dining room, premium wellness spaces such as salon and treatment rooms, private spa bath, sound therapy rooms and more, all of which will flaunt stunning views across the city.
