THE ROLE
DKO is actively seeking a dynamic Graphics and Communications professional to join our Melbourne team. Collaborating closely with architects and project teams, this position requires a strong all-rounder. Join us in shaping the visual narrative of DKO’s innovative projects and expertise.
The specific roles and activities discussed with you are (but not limited to) the following:
- Create visually compelling graphics and illustrations to enhance project presentations, proposals, and marketing materials.
- Maintain a cohesive brand identity for the practice.
- Collaborate with architects and project teams to translate architectural concepts into engaging visual designs reports, tenders, and submissions.
- Assist in the preparation and design of presentation materials for client meetings, proposals, and project reviews.
- Ensure all presentation materials are cohesive, professional, and aligned with the practice’s design language.
- Support the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns to promote DKO projects and expertise.
- Coordinate the production of marketing collateral, brochures, and digital content for online platforms.
- Assist in managing DKO social media presence and website updates to ensure consistent and engaging communication in line with DKO social media guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with the studio leads to ensure graphic and communication needs are met for various projects.
- Coordinate with external vendors and agencies for printing, production, and distribution of marketing materials.
- Work to plan and implement internal and external communications strategies with the Marketing and Communications Lead.
- Maintain media and industry contact lists.
- Keep track of media exposure and project developments.
- Generate captivating content for social media platforms – design unique posts, stories, and ads to increase engagement and brand awareness
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends, both in architecture/design industry and trends more broadly, and integrate them into our visual content strategy
- Respond to comments, messages and engage with our audience to strengthen our online community
- Monitor social media analytics to track performance of content and provide regular reports/insights to optimise future content
To achieve design excellence through (but not limited to):
- Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of digital graphics production including a working knowledge of the print publishing process
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Have exceptional attention to detail
- Experience working to deadlines with excellent time management skills
- Ability to work within corporate branding guidelines
- Experience across multimedia platforms and/or animation & video production
- Be self-motivated

To demonstrate general skills and capabilities through:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Communication Design, Marketing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in graphic design, including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Attention to detail, creativity, and a keen eye for design aesthetics.

THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Architect to join our growing team in Perth. As a Project Architect, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of a variety of commercial and residential projects from concept to completion. You will work closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. This position requires experience within large scale project delivery.
DUTIES INCLUDE
Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Develop and manage project plans and schedules
- Collaborate with engineers and other consultants to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
- Oversee the construction process and make necessary adjustments to plans and specifications
- Manage communication with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Ensure project quality and adherence to QMS
- Develop and present comprehensive architectural drawings, design proposals, and specifications tailored to project requirements, ensuring meticulous attention to technical details, including final reports and as-built drawings
- Collaborate with contractors, consultants, interior designers, and other experts to streamline project coordination and facilitate seamless collaboration
- Effectively convey design concepts and objectives to the design team, contractors, and consultants to ensure alignment and shared understanding
- Proactively inform supervisors of project-related issues, providing timely updates and promptly addressing concerns
- Actively participate in practice-wide projects, offering support and expertise to enhance workflow and efficiency
SKILLS AND EXPERTISE
- Diverse project background – desirable.
- Multi-residential experience – essential.
- Masters Degree in Architecture
- WA Registration (preferred but not essential)
- At least 5 years professional, post-graduate experience
- High level of design, graphic, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong technical abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage client expectations.
- Communicate design intent effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in project management and delivery.
- Ability to attend site and problem solve.
- A thorough understanding of Australian building codes and standards.
- A thorough understanding of WA planning framework.
- Experience in managing and mentoring a team with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience in Connecting with Country engagement and co-design an advantage.
- Experience in ArchiCAD preferred, additional 3D CAD programs beneficial.

THE ROLE
We are currently seeking to engage a passionate Architectural Graduate to join our team in our Perth studio.
DUTIES INCLUDE
Key responsibilities will include but not limited to;
- Working as a CAD operator / modeller;
- Carrying out sketch design work;
- Assisting to prepare Architectural Development Application submissions and contract documentation;
- Liaising with and coordinating the various requirements and activities of Clients, Consultants and local Councils;
- Satisfying client needs and objectives as to function, time, cost and quality
SKILLS & EXPERTISE
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An AACA accredited Master of Architecture
- 1-5 years’ experience post-graduation
- Knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes and planning ordinances
- Excellent communication skills – visual, verbal and written
- Experience with ArchiCAD highly regarded, other CAD software experience considered
