ABOUT THE ROLE

Located in our new Perth studio with a growing team working across exciting master planning, residential and mixed use projects, the specific roles and activities are (but not limited to) the following:

  • To carry out sketch design work;
  • To carry out work associated with preparing Architectural Planning application submissions;
  • To undertake Urban Design and Masterplanning tasks
  • To liaise with and co-ordinate the various requirements and activities of Clients, Consultants and local Councils;
  • To carry out Site Analysis and Site Context Analysis;
  • To relate designs to relevant codes and local council requirements.
  • Management of construction documentation packages
  • Proactive site contact
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

This position would suit a design driven architect looking for full or part time work in the architectural industry. 

  • ArchiCAD preferred
  • Written communication (literacy, grammar, vocabulary, style)
  • Spoken communication (articulation, comprehension, style)
  • Computer applications – spreadsheets, desktop publishing, Indesign, Artlantis and Rhino etc. are desirable
  • Organisation, time management and coordination 
REMUNERATION

Commensurate with experience and ability

As a design focused studio, you will be working with our skilled team members across our offices to realise and deliver quality interiors to the market. Suitable candidates must be self-starters and have proven experience demonstrating your capability from concept to construction

Whilst you will have expert code and compliance knowledge, you will also have a keen eye for design and detail to challenge to the project and the team you will work with. DKO is a design focused studio. You will be working alongside our skilled team members as well as closely with the Associate and Director to realise and deliver the quality projects. Suitable candidates will have proven experience demonstrating your capability.

  • Located in either our Auckland or Christchurch Studios, DKO are looking for the right person with the right collaborative attitude to join our team and lead the day to day of documentation projects. You will be working alongside our skilled team members as well as closely with the Associate and Director to deliver quality and efficient documentation. Paired with your excellent ArchiCAD skills, suitable candidates will have proven experience demonstrating your sound knowledge of code including 3604 and NZBC.
