ABOUT THE ROLE

Located in our Surry Hills studio, we are seeking an Architectural Graduate. You will be a confident communicator and have the ability to balance multiple projects. You will have code and compliance knowledge, a keen eye for design and detail. DKO is a design-focused studio.

  • CAD operator / modeller;
  • To carry out sketch design work;
  • To carry out work associated with preparing Architectural Development Application submissions and contract documentation;
  • To liaise with and co-ordinate the various requirements and activities of Clients, Consultants and local Councils;
  • To carry out Site Analysis and Site Context Analysis;
  • To relate designs to relevant codes and local council requirements.

  • To achieve high standards of contract administration through (but not limited to):
  • Superior knowledge of construction details and methods;
  • Ability to prepare delivery programs;
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, fire and other key services;
  • Knowledge of structural engineering principles;
  • Buildability knowledge and experience.

We are seeking a Mid-Level Project Architect to join our Perth studio.  You will be a confident communicator with strong leadership skills and the ability to balance multiple projects. You will have expert code and compliance knowledge with 5-7 years’ experience (5+ local experience), a keen eye for design and detail, and the ability to manage a variety of stakeholders and their needs. DKO is a design-focused studio.

Working across masterplanning, multi-residential, mixed use and student accommodation projects, the specific roles and activities are (but not limited to) the following:

  • To carry out concept design work
  • To carry out work associated with preparing Architectural Planning application submissions
  • To undertake Urban Design and Masterplanning tasks
  • Consultative approach to manage, liaise with and co-ordinate the various requirements and activities of Clients, Consultants and local Councils
  • To carry out Site Analysis and Site Context Analysis
  • To relate designs to relevant codes and local council requirements
  • Management of construction documentation packages
  • An ability to manage a team and inspire design excellence across all projects
