DKO adopted a design by Shed Architects whereby the three buildings ranging from four to six storeys high encompass a collection of generously appointed one, two and three-bedroom apartments. Crafted with lots of openness, Cascade Gardens take advantage of its natural setting.

The buildings’ striking exteriors are characterised by dark bronze tones complemented by perforated metal screens and louvres which provide privacy and solar protection.

Stroll along the meandering garden pathway that connects the buildings and you’ll find a central courtyard that not only provides a nice outlook for all the apartments but offers barbeque facilities, lounge seating and large dining tables. This is a place where residents can relax amidst the beautiful landscaping, catch-up with neighbours or savour a morning coffee in the plentiful sunshine. At every turn, there are various pockets of greenery that make the surroundings so idyllic.

This theme of openness and celebration of nature is extended to the apartment interiors also. The team created a very sophisticated design and materials palette to create an ambient space that is refined and timeless. Floorplans were finessed to maximise natural light, open-plan living and provide for plentiful storage. What is special about the spaces is the amount of thought that has gone into ensuring every detail of the daily routine is accounted for. DKO’s interior design team carefully pre-empted a place for everything – especially in the kitchens and bathrooms – which feature ample storage, high-quality fittings and appliances. The design philosophy for this site was to enhance the apartment experience by designing spaces that carefully considered how inhabitants live on a day-to-day basis.

Two beautiful finish palettes both resonate a warm and inviting sanctuary. Both palettes feature granite benchtops which are beautifully complemented by a combination of timber and neutral joinery. The penthouses have a natural stone, “Super White”, as benchtops and splashback adding to the lux feel of the generous apartments. All apartments feature timber floorboards and custom coloured tapware which come together to provide an ambient space to relax and unwind.
