Commenced in 1996, the Beacon Cove project is approximately 30 hectares incorporating around 950 new dwellings. It has been integrated into the Port Melbourne community and culminates in a 500 metre-long public waterfront promenade.
The public waterfront acts as a recreational focus point for the community, centralised with a large urban square at Station Pier. The Port Melbourne waterfront has been further enhanced by the recent restoration of the historic Princes Pier, which sits adjacent to Station Pier in Port Phillip Bay.
