Lifestyle Communities offers over 50’s resort living for downsizers, semi-retired and retired homeowners, looking for community and village life.

The Riverfield Clubhouse in Clyde caters for both the community and the individual. The bulk of the form is broken down into a series of spaces connected via walkways. Sightlines through the building offer glimpse to the landscape beyond.

DKO are also undertaking the landscape design for this project.

The landscape design offers both quiet intimate spaces as well as broader landscape areas for communal recreation. The landscape celebrates the architectural built form and creates a sense of connection to the broader context.

The user journey and experience are a central influence of the landscape architecture and planting design. The user is taken on an evocative journey, where the planting design plays a significant role in aiding in the creation of specific atmospheres, recognizing the role emotions play in our experience of our physical environments.
