Rising above the 1910 utilitarian brick facade of a former motor garage, Infinity Place is designed as a sister to University Square , sharing the same DNA and providing a unified presence across GSA’s three Melbourne campuses.

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin Nation, the traditional custodians of the land upon which Infinity Place stands. We recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture.

Located in the heart of Carlton’s academic precinct, Infinity Place redefines contemporary student living while celebrating the area’s industrial heritage. The revitalised Elizabeth Street façade features restored brickwork and blackened steel detailing, paying homage to its historic streetscape. Inside, the design seamlessly connects Elizabeth and Berkeley Streets through a lively ground floor of communal, study, and retail spaces that foster connection and activity.

A sculptural steel staircase anchors the double-height foyer, leading to shared kitchens, dining zones, and landscaped terraces that offer moments of retreat above the city. The interiors continue the industrial narrative with raw concrete, steel, and glass softened by warm timber tones. Across all dwellings, the muted palette and thoughtful spatial design provide a calm, flexible canvas for students to make their own.
