Architecture, Master Plan
Fletchers Slip is a unique master plan vision that embraces the extensive water frontage and maritime heritage and seeks to tie it all back to the surrounding urban fabric. The principles of sustainable design, diversity, contemporary living and adaptive re-use underpin the vision for the site.
We acknowledge the Kaurna people, the traditional custodians of the land upon which Fletcher’s Slip stands. We recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture.

The dwellings draw inspiration from the rich maritime heritage that characterises much of Port Adelaide. From the industrial expression of Hart’s Mill to the fine grain cottages in Semaphore, this diversity is celebrated in the proposed built form. The architecture is contemporary, yet reflective of the strong links to the original working port and a waterfront lifestyle. Strong forms, robust materials and elegant details give shape to a new waterfront community.

Each dwelling has been architecturally designed to maximise the amenity for the residents. Careful lot planning and orientation optimises solar ingress, elevated living areas take advantage of the surrounding views, while ventilated open plan living areas ensure comfort and flexibility. Furthermore, smart kitchen and bathroom designs, as well as considered spatial planning ensures that the needs of a modern lifestyle are satisfied.
