Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out sketch design work

The Role
We’re looking for an Interior Designer to join our dynamic Surry Hills studio team as we embark on several exciting upcoming projects. In this role, you’ll craft spaces that blend visual appeal with practical functionality, elevating the everyday experience of those who live and stay within them. This is a collaborative, hands-on position where you’ll help translate visions into reality, assess materials and design concepts, and contribute as an integral member of our creative team.
- Preparing accurate, consistent design and technical drawings
- Following company standards and codes of practice in Architectural/ Interior design
- Receiving and understanding detailed markup from project architects and ensuring accurate and careful implementation
- Solutions and quality focused – taking responsibility for the drawings, being aware of any problems or mistakes
- Working well with team members in a relaxed but professional environment
- Manage your own time to complete tasks to deadline or communicate any issues
- To manage projects to initiate and develop concepts from starting point through to build reality
- To visualise design ideas in Archicad, Photoshop, Sketchup, and/or other suitable media
- To prepare presentations for client, consultant and/or relevant parties
- To make presentations and coordinate well with other consultants
- To work with the 3D Visualisation Team to develop a concept sketch into a developed 3D design
- To be able to produce detail drawings for production of the interiors package
- Pursue innovation in design, possessing creativity and originality
Skills & Experience:
- Qualification in Interior Design or Interior Architecture or equivalent
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in an studio environment
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Knowledge of construction methodologies (including detailing), building codes and planning ordinances
- Advanced drafting and graphic presentation skills
- Solid communication, whether written, visual, or verbal
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Solid organisation, time management and coordination
