DKO Architecture’s design response for client BPM’s Walter apartment connects into the wider opportunity and amenity its Central Carnegie location offers its residents.Walter’s most striking feature is the contrasting interplay of its graphic facade using expressed pre-cast concrete blades and curtain wall tinted glazing. The mass of the building form hangs elevated above street level inviting an active street connection for its ground level retail program nestled in the undercroft. hese dynamics create a solid yet penetrable apartment typology providing active sun screening and privacy from Neerim Road. 

The facade activates each dwelling with a series of animated framed views connecting each space back to its urban context. Luxurious floor to ceiling windows provides an abundance of natural light deep into each apartment.Walter’s modern interiors are chic, homely and finely detailled. The living areas offer a clean white palette with warm oak flooring, marble benchtops and fine black lines. Nuances of textures and copper features add further richness to the lush pallette.
