Situated to Melbourne’s North East, St Helena follows an amalgamation of two land parcels to create a successful and unique residential development. Stage 1A is rich with mature trees, plants and vegetation that characterize an “Australian landscape setting”. Its topography is not dissimilar to include an existing creek bed, valley, adjoining parkland and rolling hills that command cross views within the site. Together with these characteristics, various housing typologies are guided by and juxtaposed within the landscape to promote a variety of interfaces with roads, open space, parkland and the wider St Helena locale. The beautiful views offered over the site have been carefully integrated into the architecture on a site by site basis to create a sensitive and unique model residential development for St Helena. The housing at St Helena is predominantly a two storey development. Variety within the development and streetscape is guided by the landscape and typography that follows the fall of the site.
