Project Description +
x

The outer façade’s raw materials wrap a shell around the building. Industrial concrete balanced with lush plant cascading life that frames each apartment as if the building were alive and immersed by Mother Nature. Planter boxes on the apartment balconies invite residents to add to the building’s living façade with verdant greenery, vibrant wildflowers or a garden of favourite herbs. In dramatic contrast, the internal façade acts as though the shell of the building has been cracked open to reveal a different world of sleek bronze glass, mirroring the rooftop garden and endless sky.Elm and Stone’s lush greenery, bronze architectural detailing, and clean concrete surfaces are timeless and elegant. Creating a complementary apartment building to the existing NewQuay Docklands surroundings.Elm and Stone apartments offer an inner sanctum where families of all sizes share their day’s experience. A collection of one, two and three bedroom apartment layouts provide flexible living options. Unique loft apartments are bright and airy with expansive windows and 4.5 metre high ceilings, residents can use their imagination and transform the additional mezzanine area into anything from a studio to a hobby room, kids’ play area or guest retreat.Elm and Stone embraces a design that is contemporary yet timeless. Each apartment design has been meticulously refined with flexible well-proportioned living areas and generous storage. They feature edgy concrete ceilings, strip and track lighting creating ambience throughout, warm timber floors and cosy carpeted bedrooms, clever storage keeping everything in order and sleek integrated appliances enhance the minimalist and clean design.Every apartment has been carefully orientated to take advantage of its surroundings. The north-east apartments are bathed in natural light with balconies that include planter boxes, the ideal environment to grow herbs or add colour with floral arrangements. Bedrooms have additional Juliet balconies with sliding doors that can be opened to the morning sun and fresh harbour breeze. South-facing apartments are fully glazed to maximize light and positioned to enjoy garden views and glimpses of Melbourne’s beautiful harbour.
